First Harvest of Basil

It’s the end of spring!

I nibbled the little green umbrellas from the basil plants, so that they’ll grow bigger horizontally.

I love fresh basil leaves in a simple tomato omelette.

It looks so different from lemon basil, which I have been depending on. The basil leaves we got here is dried and bottled. It is rather expensive, too! 🙂

Lemon basil? Never heard of it. Do you grow it? There are so many different varieties of basil. I have a pot of French basil, which has dry and small leaves, and grows into a cute round shape. I may post pictures when I harvest it. 🙂

No, I do not grow it. They can be easily found in the nearby rural areas or traditional market. I got a post about it in my blog. 🙂
